Since opening our doors in January of 2019, the Thad Olive State Farm Insurance Agency has proudly served individuals, families, and businesses in Sugar Land and across the entire state of Texas. My roots run deep in Sugar Land, where I grew up and later earned degrees from Wharton County Junior College, Midwestern State University, and Sam Houston State University. Sugar Land remains home for my wife and me, the place where we raised our two adult sons and have forged strong connections within this community we cherish. Beyond the office, I enjoy volunteering with local groups and finding time for outdoor fishing.

Before opening the agency, I dedicated 26 rewarding years to a career in law enforcement. That experience instilled in me a profound desire to continue serving people, focusing on making a tangible difference by helping them protect their homes, families, and financial future. Relationships truly form the core of everything we do here. I firmly believe in supporting one another, both personally and professionally, and this conviction shapes every interaction with our customers. We approach each conversation with the same care and consideration we would expect ourselves, taking the time to explain how various coverages work so you can make confident, informed decisions about safeguarding your loved ones and property.

Our agency’s commitment to excellence and our valued customer relationships are reflected in our achievement of Honor Club recognition for five consecutive years and counting. My dedication to the community extends beyond insurance; I am actively involved in several organizations making a positive impact. These include serving as past President and current active member of the Exchange Club of Sugar Land, Vice President and Law Enforcement Liaison of Fort Bend Crime Stoppers, Officer with the Sugar Land Masonic Lodge 1141, and a Board Member of Behind the Badge Charities, which supports first responders and their families during times of need. We are also pleased to offer assistance in both English and Spanish.
